2 DAYS BEFORE: Skin Therapy

Rumour has it Kate Middleton owes her camera-ready skin to pre-event oxygen facials, so I make a beeline for the newly renovated Glow Medi Spa in Toronto, where Dr. Diane Wong harnesses the ingredient in a service that promises longer-lasting results. Unlike treatments that blast skin with pressurized oxygen, her one- hour Glow Oxy Trio ($175) uses a medical-grade oxygenating liquid to increase circulation and revive stressed skin. “There’s one day of downtime when you’re extremely red, but the next day you have an amazing glow [that lasts up to 10 days],” says Dr. Wong. I’m sold—and crushed when I hear it’s off-limits for the rosacea-prone. But the Dr. Babor Booster Therapy Facial ($225) she recommends leaves my dull skin dewy for days. The secret is in the “collagen biomatrix mask,” which hardens like papier-ma^che´ as it dries, clearing my pores and allowing ingredients to sink in more deeply.
