Do you suffer from ingrown hair? Hair follicles can become blocked as they grow out of the skin and become swollen, painful, infected, and unsightly. They can leave behind long lasting hyper-pigmentation or even scarring. Ingrown hairs are most common where the hair is thicker such as the bikini areas. They often become worse with shaving or waxing.
Most clients experience a 20% reduction in hair growth with each laser hair removal treatment so for optimal laser hair removal, a series of eight sessions is recommended. However, even after a few sessions of laser hair removal, the problem of ingrown hair can be significantly reduced. The remaining 80% of hair does not grow back for 6-8 weeks usually, so in-between the treatments, there is very little hair present and no ingrown hairs. When the remaining hair grows back, it is not as stubbly or irritating as with shaving or waxing. With each treatment, less and less hair grows back until eventually, most clients rarely have to shave or wax.
At glow Medi Spa, we use the exclusive Apogee Elite laser, which has both an alexandrite laser and an Nd:Yag laser. This top of the line technology ensures safe and effective hair removal for all skin types, including tanned skin. We also have an IPL system but rarely use it for hair removal unless the hair is very fine in light skinned individuals. Our laser hair removal treatments are now 50% off for a very limited time.
